Free Fire Zone WWII Weekend Woodland Event JUNE 19th & 20th 2010 Bulby Wood.
“During the later months of the summer of 1944 many stubborn pockets of axis resistance remain across the French border with Germany.
One of these areas is Le Bulby wood. It has changed possesion three times as the Axis counterattacks push back into allied territory, only to be driven back under the support of Aliied air and artillery cover. The US Firebase there must once and for all be captured and secured as a base for further advances, or destroyed so Axis forces cannot use it for their own needs...” This WWII campaign game will see saturday evening representing the allied patrols in Le Bulby wood searching out the last traces of German troops that are known to be in the area. They have equipment to sabotage on their retreat and the task of destroying documents and booby trapping vital equipment falls on them as the last light of the day leaves us. The Sunday will be one long scenario, with the Allies beginning in the smallest pocket of the region to spearhead a push over the La’cord river into Le Bulby wood. From there the fighting is expected to see saw back and forth as the German battery Hoff 16 miles away lobs the last of its shells into the wood as their artillery officers do all they can to keep the allies out of their country.
The Artillery officers will be prized and will have their work cut out making the Allies lives a living hell! This event is expected to be a correct kit event for the purists of you and hi caps will only be allowed with limited ammo capacities as we understand some of the difficulties involved with getting period equipment. Determined efforts must be made to look the part!
Boots and underwear will not be checked by us! The game fee is £25 for the evening and day game plus camping on site,
all places must be pre-booked and paid in full by June 16th. The site will be open from 13.00 on the saturday, we are expecting evening play to start at 18.00-19.00hrs on the saturday. End of game on Sunday will be 16-17.00 hrs depending on players travel concerns.

Airsoft in Scotland
30th July 2009
There is a lot going on in the Scottish airgun community currently to oppose this proposed change in law and BASC is also heavily involved.
Currently there are very mixed messages coming from the SNP government regarding their intentions regarding this matter, initially after discussion with BASC the SNP promised there would not be an outright ban on airguns in Scotland.
Recently however they have been suggesting otherwise and it appears they are aiming for a complete blanket ban. BASC have been in contact with the SNP over the past few days and they have again stated that a complete ban is not their intention and they have apparently said that airguns will be allowed for the use of vermin control or recognised sporting events.
Unfortunately the question of airsoft has not been made clear in this entire debacle. As far as the SNP are concerned airsoft and airguns are all one thing, I am very worried that they will not recognise airsoft skirmishing as one of their "recognised sporting events" and I have the feeling when they say this they are referring to airgun sports such as Hunter Field Target.
Tonight a petition was posted at the No.10 website calling for Westminster to regain control of firearm law and not allow the Scottish Government to destroy our sport. Naturally I am a cynic when it comes to politics but at this stage I feel we must do anything we can to prevent this potential change in law to occur.

Obviously this is a potentially serious matter for our sport so I would be extremely grateful to you if you could assist in this campaign, taking into account both Airsoft World and scoutthedoggie (YouTube Airsoft God) would be effected.
Kind regards,
